Fun Fact Bathroom detailing was formed using a soup ladle.

What began as a renovation quickly became a labour of love. The goal was to make the ensuite feel more like a private retreat than a standard bathroom. Every finish, curve, and transition was carefully considered, resulting in a space that feels simple on the surface, even though an enormous amount of precision went into it behind the scenes.

A steam shower with integrated body jets, an oversized walk-in closet, and a concealed water closet help keep the room feeling calm, clean, and uncluttered. Material choices played a major role throughout. Massive 3-by-10-foot floor tiles had to be craned into the house due to their size, while Corian was used to create seamless surfaces and custom detailing.

Some of the most interesting moments came through experimentation during the build itself. Parts of the bathroom detailing were literally formed using a soup ladle to achieve the exact curve the design called for. It’s the kind of hands-on problem solving that gave the project its nickname: “Spoon Fed.”
